Jennifer Parsignault

Jennifer’s songs, filled with emotion and conviction, combine sophisticated lyrics and captivating sounds that resonate with both introspection and profound spirituality.  This music is unique in that it both soothes the soul, and simultaneously lifts the heart with hope.  Jennifer’s classical music background is reflected in her work; she started on violin and piano at a tender age, and later pursued formal music studies at Boston’s Berklee College of Music.

After relocating from Boston to Los Angeles, freelancing as a studio and stage vocalist occupied her efforts.  During this time, she worked with a wide variety of artists, including Irene Cara, Miguel Kertzman, Lita Ford, Katelyn Hopkins, and Bang Tango.   As Jennifer continued to write her songs the drive to record her music put her in the studio.

With four albums to her credit, Jennifer's music has been featured in film including independent films "Kejar Amerika" and "Solid Cover".  Television credits include "Dawson's Creek", MTV's "Undressed", Discovery Channel's "Outward Bound", as well as Australia's, "The Saddle Club" and Spain's "Hasiberriak" and "Goenkale".  Jennifer’s music has also been featured on National Public Radio.

Jennifer’s latest offering, takes the listener to new levels. Ten new songs make up this organic fresh collection, which once again features Jennifer on violin, piano, and keyboards. With her trademark intricate arrangements, the music approaches

something contemplative and darkly glittering, as it wraps rich, memorable melodies around thoughtful lyrics. Standout tracks include Orbit Again - an upbeat ode to

new love, Fragile - with its pulsing rhythm and lush strings, and the Peter Gabriel

Oh, My

Oh, My, Jennifer’s third album, was released in 2000. With its colourful lyrics and evocative emotional textures—from the sweet and tender ballads - Prayer for St. Symin and Beautiful One, to the strong, hypnotic up-tempo cuts – Some Religion, Matter of Time and the title track, Oh, My —the album gives full play to the extraordinary range that Jennifer’s voice is capable of conveying. It’s a dazzling array, in one moment vulnerable and intimate, in the next pure strength and power.

“Smart lyrics and a soothing sound make up the style of the CD. Jennifer writes with emotion and there is a heartfelt conviction to her work.”

Rikk Matheson / Rikks Reviews

“Her self-written lyrics are introspective and spiritual without becoming dark or sappy. I got the sense that I was being allowed to listen-in to her internal conversations - wishes and prayers.”  John Jorgenson / Indiefan.com

“. After the first listen to this, her third release, you too will understand the title, "Oh, My". Very simply, if you’re ANYTHING like me, once you have listened to this CD you will find yourself listening to it again and again. I highly recommend you add this CD to your collection…"  Toby A Lindberg / Lindy Records

“….with some gorgeous arrangements and sky-high hooks, multi-tracked choruses that all bring out the best in both the vocals, the musical backing and the songs themselves.”  Andi Garibaldi / CD Services
